While searching for vw GTIs, I stumbled on this:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
It's got a bent frame in the pics, but you can drive a French spaceship for a crack pipe price.

Holy fuck.. 4500 is not that bad actually. It's a Turbo II tho' .. I had a "MK1", awesome cars indeed, until something goes wrong.

The bent frame is the deal breaker though.

I somehow did not see that... Bent frame on a CX = NOOOOOOPE.

I'm astounded they found a body shop in the US in 1999 that was willing to touch the thing, and would figure that at $4500, the frame damage, hood dings, various other issues, and non-functioning intercooler are kind of priced into it. That said, I don't think I'd want to touch it if I was in the market for a CX.

A frame is a chassis, right? It doesn't have one. Maybe the oleopneumatic suspension is having a bad day.
Edit: something's bent - subframe somewhere?

It's a unibody so yes the frame rails stick out from the body structure some manufacturers call it a subframe.
